Entry-level operations role
Supports senior dispatchers by reviewing flight requests, learning dispatch procedures, and assisting with basic flight release documentation. Becomes familiar with Griffin Airlines routes, schedules, and operational standards.
Core dispatch operations
Independently handles flight dispatch duties including reviewing pilot flight plans, issuing flight releases, coordinating aircraft assignments, and ensuring all flights meet regulatory and VA standards before departure.
Expert dispatcher with full authority
Oversees complex dispatch scenarios, mentors junior dispatchers, resolves irregularities, and has full authority to approve or hold flights. Acts as the point of contact during peak operational periods.
Weekly schedule management
Responsible for building and publishing the weekly flight schedule. Reviews route bids from pilots, coordinates aircraft availability, assigns flights, and ensures balanced coverage across all hubs and routes.
Senior scheduling authority
Leads the scheduling department, sets scheduling policy, manages long-term fleet utilization planning, and approves or rejects route proposals submitted by the pilot community. Works closely with the Director of Operations.
Ground-side coordination
Manages ground-side operations including gate assignments, turnaround coordination, cabin crew assignments, and passenger manifest reviews. Ensures aircraft are prepped and ready for departure on schedule.
Supervising all ground teams
Oversees all ground operations agents, resolves ground-side conflicts, audits manifests and cabin crew records, and ensures ground procedures are followed consistently across all flights.
Full operations management
Manages the entire day-to-day operations of Griffin Airlines. Bridges dispatch, scheduling, and ground operations. Reviews performance, enforces standards, handles escalations, and reports directly to the Director of Operations.
Executive operations leadership
The highest operations role. Sets the strategic direction of the Operations Division, approves major policy changes, oversees all department heads, and works alongside airline leadership to ensure Griffin Airlines runs at peak efficiency.
